1. 1. Lead Seal Casing Patch

Lead Seal Casing Patches used to repair properly prepared pipe without restricting the bore of the casing or tubing. It is best for use in wells that contain fluids or gases (Such as H2S & CO2) harmful to rubber or synthetic packers.

It consists of A guide and bowl make up the O.D. components. A grapple, grapple carrier, control ring, control ring set screws, end seal rings, lead seals, and a center seal ring make up the remainder of the patch.

In fishing operations, a large-diameter pipe fitted with an internal grappling device and tungsten carbide cutting surfaces on the bottom. The washover pipe can be lowered over a fish in the wellbore and to latch onto and retrieve the fish. Since the washover pipe is relatively thin-walled and large in diameter, and may be prone to sticking itself, the washover operation is usually reserved as a measure of last resort before abandoning the fish altogether.

This tool is used to cut a clearance between the fish and the wall of the wellbore. Each shoe is designed to fit a particular downhole need and is run on the bottom of the washover string. Shoe design is dictated by where it will cut: on the bottom, on the outside diameter or on the inside diameter.
